Rudy Giuliani's campaign demanded and received the resignation of a leader of its New Hampshire Veterans for Rudy group for making "controversial" remarks about Muslims.
John Deady, co-chairman for Rudy Giuliani's veterans' coalition in New Hampshire resigned December 29 after telling a British newspaper that Muslims need to be chased "back to their caves."

Ya olde son-of-a-gun...You beat me by scant minutes on this story. I just lifted some of Ted's text to initiate a new topic and found this. For an old fart you're fairly quick to react. Good on ya mate!

In any case, if anyone has their doubts they can now scratch Rudy as a viable candidate. Anybody with such a knee-jerk politically correct reaction defines himself as a full-fledged RINO and just got caught looking at a call third strike.

Could it be that this incident revealed that, considering Guiliani and Deady, that THE WRONG GUY IS RUNNING?

I sincerely feel that until we get a military man in the White House as President that none of these posturing politicos will have the guts to look the Islamic devil in the eye and commit to his extinction. Politicians react, statesmen act. We are drowning in the former and starved for the latter.

Here we are, years into Iraq and we still haven't secured the battlefield. The Iranian and Syrian borders are still open to resupply and insurgent traffic. One has got to ask why? A President cannot fight these bastards with one eye looking over his shoulder at the insurgents making noise on the homefront.

The problem, as I see it, is that we're trying to fight a war according to rules, such as the Geneva convention. It doesn't apply, it wasn't written with terrorists in mind. They aren't fighting by the same rules.

What we need to do is take a page from the British during their problem in N Ireland and turn loose our Special Ops teams. Being Spec Ops, they wouldn't be tied down by CNN or other MSM embedded reporters to watch over them. Whatever they did would be in the black and would stay unknown for years.

Let them go after the terrorists NO HOLDS BARRED. Fight them the same way they're fighting us. Start using their tactics on them.

The Geneva Convention is for civilized nations and covers only generalities. We aren't fighting a civilized nation and we aren't fighting soldiers.

So, the rule is that there isn't any rule. Until the politicians get that through their thick heads, and that little tidbit of info bounces around long enough to make contact with whatever functioning brain cell it finds, we aren't going to win.

They'd become heroes and martyrs, and we'd have to suffer seeing them on TV for days to come, and every year on the anniversary of the event. I can imagine the msm turning them into examples of American heroism, what real Americans are.

Hmm, toss in Kennedy, kerry the Traitor, Murthah, Feinstien, and a few others and really make it worthwhile. We have lots of movies on tape and CD and the tv remote has new batteries. Lots of clicks in it to avoid the garbage.
